Dr. Crystal Hollenbeck

Dr. Crystal Hollenbeck is a Christian who believes every person is valuable. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Florida State Qualified Supervisor for those seeking a license in Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy. Her approach to counseling is non-judgmental, caring, confidential, and solution focused. She believes counseling is an essential part of a person’s ability to live the life they desire and she strives to provide a counseling setting where you can feel safe to work through the difficulty you are facing with hope.

Dr. Hollenbeck is also a Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC) and conducts therapy sessions in her office, and/or via VSee and Phone sessions. She is well known for her Three Day Trauma Intensives and Couples Intensives that are highly sought after and conducted in the Orlando office.

More About Dr. Hollenbeck

Dr. Hollenbeck uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients overcome and manage anxiety and depression.  She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and uses this unique bi-lateral brain stimulation technique to help people process their thoughts and emotions. Dr. Hollenbeck specializes in Relationships by helping individuals, couples, and families work through expected and unexpected life changes and transitions, and to heal from traumatic events and experiences that are often the source of mental distress and disorders.  Her own life experiences include healing from abuse and trauma so no matter what a person has survived in the past or what difficulty they are currently facing – she encourages them to believe that there is Hope for Healing that produces Harmony through counseling.

 

In addition to CBT and EMDR, Dr. Hollenbeck is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST), Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Certified Hope & Freedom Practitioner (CHFP), a facilitator for Prepare-Enrich Couples Counseling and is trained in Gottman Couples Therapy.  She provides pre-marital, marital, remarriage, and divorce recovery counseling for traditional and blended families.  She enjoys helping families create and implement a Family Structure Plan to achieve the relational intimacy every family wants.

Dr. Hollenbeck’s education and training is exemplary and is evidence of her commitment to helping her clients be successful. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, earning a CACREP Accredited Doctorate Degree in Counselor Education & Supervision from Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida, and a Masters Degree in Counseling/ Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University.  Dr. Hollenbeck is a graduate of the Florida Post Graduate Sex Therapy Institute and Certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

She also completed training at the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals earning the certification of a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT)  and is an APSATS Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS). Her extensive training allows her to provide quality therapy for individuals, couples and families facing any sexually related issues or issues of abuse and betrayal.

As a Certified Anger Management Therapist, Dr. Hollenbeck helps people gain insight to face and work through unhealthy anger related to abuse, unresolved issues, and trauma.  She provides both individual and group counseling.

Sharing her experience and knowledge by encouraging others is important to Dr. Hollenbeck and she enjoys teaching psychology and counseling courses at Grand Canyon University, giving seminars on mental, emotional, and sexual health issues, and she has been interviewed on Fox 35, Local Channel 6, Central Florida News 13, The Point of View talk show and the Sex, Love & Relationships with Carol the Coach Radio Show.
